An accomplished cellist since the age of eight, Zoe Hale has been praised for her lyrical, virtuosic, and spiritual tones portrayed in her performances within both classical and contemporary genres.
Zoe’s primary musical education at Hoff-Barthelson Music Academy and Colburn School presented her with avenues of accomplishments, which includes her appearances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and at the Walt Disney Concert Hall (in concert with Lynn Harrell) before the age of eighteen. Prior to her musical and educational undertakings at New York University, she was mentored by Trevor Handy (member of Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and affiliated performer with the LA Philharmonic and LA Opera), who inspired her to pursue a professional career as a cellist.
Upon attending New York University’s Instrumental Performance (String Studies) department and graduating with a Bachelor of Music, Zoe was mentored by maestro cellist, Julian Schwarz. Her professional career has been greatly influenced by her experiences in higher education and through her work as a performance/recording musician in New York University’s Film Scoring and Instrumental Performance departments.
In virtue of her musicianship and poise on stage, Zoe was recognized by the Miss Universe Organization, which awarded her the titles of Miss Washington Square USA 2023 and Miss Golden State 2024. Through her delegacy in Miss New York USA and Miss California USA, a platform was granted for Zoe to advocate for the preservation of classical arts in a contemporary society.
As a professional cellist, she performs solo recitals and collaborative works in recording studios, photography, and films. Most recently and prominently, she performed a solo recital at a John Revere Williams’ historical monument in association with the Getty House in Los Angeles. Currently, she makes appearances in New York City with accomplished groups (including the String Orchestra of Brooklyn), performs for private receptions, and participates an actor and recording artist in feature films.
